Omro Elementary Monster Math Night is October 24, 2023! Please join us from 5:30 pm-7:00 pm at Omro Elementary for a night filled with tricks, treats, games, prizes, and more!

Second grade students in Mrs. Babcock's social studies class learned about neighborhoods and communities in their first unit. The students made houses labeled with their addresses and put them on the map of Omro. They noticed some students were in town, others in the country, and many represented communities nearby. Including Mrs. Babcock, six different communities were represented in their class. Wow!

Rock the Block® is presented by Habitat for Humanity of Oshkosh, along with collaborating partners, the City of Omro, and School District of Omro.
This exciting neighborhood revitalization initiative called “Rock the Block Oshkosh in Omro” utilizes volunteers, neighbors, and local funding for exterior home improvement. The purpose is to get neighbors and the greater community working together to improve their city.
Residents living within the City limits of Omro, north of the Fox River can apply for assistance with exterior home repairs and lawn care, including but not limited to edging, lawn patching & seeding, tree & bush trimming, weeding, raking, brush removal, mulching, pressure washing, and gutter cleaning.
Applications are available online at www.habitatoshkosh.org/rock-the-block and at the Oshkosh ReStore (1640 S. Koeller Street). The deadline to apply for 2024 Omro projects will be December 1st.

Students in Mrs. Morse's Food, Family and Society class recently spent their day in the Foods Lab making pancakes. They needed to figure out the abbreviations and conversions of the ingredients in order to prepare the recipe.

This qualifies the team to move on to the Wisconsin School's Equestrian State Championships to be held at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison at the end of October. A special shout out to the parents and families of the team whose success would not be possible without the countless hours dedicated to their children. This season's riders are Holly, Josslyn, Makenzie, Lilly and Katelyn. Barn helpers are Damion and Bobby.
