This week’s Omro Staff Spotlight features Mrs. Bea Johnson. She is a high school English teacher and a head dance coach. This is her second year working in Omro and her seventh year in education.
Bea enjoys reading, baking, walking her dogs, and traveling.
When asked what her favorite thing about working for the School District of Omro is, she replied, “My favorite thing about Omro is the great community. Everyone is so friendly!”

OMS Fall Student-Athletes: Picture Day is Friday, September 29. All athletes should plan on bringing their uniform and getting their picture taken (so they can be a part of the team image).
Biology students at Omro High School collected soil samples for the UW Madison Schoolyard Microme Project. The samples will be used to study the relationship between tree roots and fungi. Students were excited to participate in scientific data collection and enjoy the beautiful Bruce Fowler Memorial Arboretum.
On September 21 and 22, 2023, Omro Middle School sixth grade students went to Camp Lucerne to engage in a variety of learning activities including canoeing, boat building, team building, and nature walks. Thank you to the staff, parent volunteers, and students for a great couple of days!
Cross country season is underway and the middle school team has been rocking it!
They had their second meet of the season in Horicon on Thursday, September 21st. EVERY athlete that competed on the Omro boys AND girls teams got new PR's (Personal Records)!
Mackenzie earned a ribbon for finishing 21st place for girls and Grant earned a ribbon for finishing 41st for boys.
Coach Summer and Coach Janie are extremely proud of everyone's hard work so far this season and can't wait to see what the next meet brings!

Fall Sports Pictures for Middle School Athletes is Friday, September 29th.
Mark your calendar for fall sports pictures for next Friday. All athletes should plan to have their picture taken so they can be part of the team picture. Watch for order forms to be sent home from coaches during practice. Athletes should bring their uniform and order form with payment (if ordering).
HS Fall Sports Pictures are Monday September 25th.

Bike Shoppe officially starts on Wednesday, September 27th!
There is no cost for students to participate in Bike Shoppe. It is open to all middle school students (grades 6-8). Bike Shoppe has been a great resource to our families and community to repair and sell bikes at an affordable price. It typically meets after school on Wednesdays from 2-4 p.m. It is important that students should listen to the Daily Announcements to see if Bike Shoppe is meeting for the week or not.
The Omro High School Student Council is excited to announce its schedule for 2023. Homecoming festivities will occur from September 24th through the 30th. This year’s Homecoming theme is Movie Productions!
The Equestrian Team will compete in district competition September 29th - October 1st at the Sunnyview Expo Center/County Fairgrounds in Oshkosh. Showtimes start at approximately 8:00AM.
