In our school district, art isn’t just another class to fill a student’s course load—it’s a journey that starts in kindergarten and grows with them all the way through graduation. 🎨 What starts as finger painting and little doodles quickly turns into mastering ceramics, sculpture, painting, photography, and even glass creations in high school.
We know that every student deserves a way to express themselves, and that’s why our art programs are designed intentionally and purposefully to give kids the space to explore, experiment, and find what they love. ❤️
Whether they go on to pursue an artistic path or just carry these creative outlets into their everyday lives, we want every student to see the value in the arts, reminding them that creating is just as important as learning. ✨

On Friday, February 7, OMS took the time to celebrate and acknolwedge student accomplishments from Quarter 2. Principal Mark Levezow shared that "over 170 students were acknowledged for their academic, life and career skills, and extracurricular accomplishments."
As an extra bonus, all students who earned all 3s in their Life and Career Skills for the quarter were entered into a random drawing. Students selected had their choice of a treat from Dairy Queen or a food from Chick-Fil-A.
Congratulations to all students who were recognized!

Congratulations to the following students for submitting an original poem into a National Poetry Contest and having it published! The poems are in a book called "Gifted - 2024 Poetry Collection" published by The America Library of Poetry out of Houlton, Maine.
We are proud of all of you!
