Last week, in sixth grade math, students worked together to solidify their understanding of decimal operations. This quick activity provided the opportunity for students to share their strategies, connecting with peers throughout the room.

The lost and found tables are beginning to fill up. Please have students check the tables before items get donated.

UWO Titan Youth Spirit Day/HS Band Day
Two OHS band students, Katherine and Erick, arrived at Titan Stadium at 9am on Saturday for an on the field sectional rehearsal with like instruments of college students and their UWO Staff Member followed by learning spots for the field show and full rehearsal with the College Band. The students also participated in playing Stand Tunes during the first half of the game in the grand stands with the College Band!
They did great! Though the final performance did not take place, due to inclement weather, they learned so much in preparation, sight reading, and exploring the culture of the Post-Secondary band experience!
In addition, Elliot, from OMS, arrived to Titan Stadium early in the morning to practice twirling and prepare to perform with the bands. Though the performance didn't happen, the experience was a a great one!

This year’s Grade 6 students went on a two day field trip to Camp Lucerne last week. While at camp, students enjoyed a multitude of activities including Tent Building, Archery, Nature Walks, Canoeing, Drum Circles, Art, Hocker (combination of Hockey and Soccer), and a Low Ropes Course. This field trip is one that our students look forward to each year, as well as look back on fondly, with previous students expressing, “one of my favorite field trips ever!” and “I wish I could go back and be in sixth grade again, just so I can go to Camp Lucerne again.”
A special thanks to our staff and volunteers who have an integral role in planning and supporting this positive experience for our students.
