OHS Student of the Month
Omro High School selects a senior student each month to be the Student of the Month. Seniors are selected for their academic successes, leadership abilities, citizenship, and extracurricular activities. The seniors who are selected for this honor are also invited to attend an American Legion meeting for recognition by the sponsoring organization and may go on the ballot to be a graduation speaker.
The September Student of the Month was Lexi.
Throughout high school, Lexi has been involved with Track and Field, Powerlifting, and Cross Country. Additionally, she is an active member of National Honor Society, Book Club, Spanish Club, Key Club, Forensics, Sources of Strength, Future Business Leaders of America, and manages the basketball team. Lexi has also volunteered her time working at a warming shelter, golf outings, and being a lector at her church.
Outside of school, Lexi enjoys writing, reading, and baking. She also likes to watch baseball and hockey to unwind.
After graduation, she plans to continue her education at Penn State or NYU. After her undergrad, she hopes to attend law school in pursuit of becoming a criminal defense attorney.

Students in Mrs. Morse's World of Children class were recently learning about Prenatal Development. They have been researching what happens to the fetus and what the mother is feeling during the nine months of pregnancy. To help students better understand how a mother may be feeling during pregnancy, they had the opportunity to wear the Empathy Belly Simulator. This simulator represents the ninth month of pregnancy and allows the students to feel some of the same symptoms that an expecting mother would feel.
