Art Eichmann, a local photographer, was a guest speaker for the high school Digital Photography and Publications classes. He spoke to students about his love of camera technology, the peace and solitude of capturing his beautiful landscapes, and the excitement of getting every shot at Omro sporting events. Mr. Eichmann finished his discussion by donating his Canon Eos 7D Mark II camera and all its equipment to the Publications class and Art Department.

Students in Mrs. Morse's Advanced Culinary Arts class are in the middle of their Bake Shop Unit. To learn more about cakes and decorating, they participated in a Cupcake Wars Competition. Based upon each team's chosen theme, they baked and decorated 12 cupcakes to set on a self-created display. Each display was judged by OHS Staff. The team earning the honor of "Cupcake Wars Champions" were the team of Jayden and Blake who created "Fox Sports Academy"-- a carrot cake cupcake and topped with cream cheese frosting.
All School District of Omro facilities will be closing at 5:30 pm on Thursday, December 18, 2025.
After school practices will have been concluded by then and any events after 5:30 are canceled.
The 4K winter concert is canceled. The event will not be rescheduled. Students will perform the concert songs during their holiday celebration and teachers will record the performance and share via Seesaw.

Students in FVTC dual credit Criminal Justice Systems class had the opportunity to visit the FVTC Public Safety Training Center. They rotated between stations that included: Tour of the facility, Forensic science (fingerprinting), MILO (police senario simulator), and Virtual Reality taser simulator.

The OHS Winter Band and Choir concert is Monday, December 15, 2025. Doors open at 5:45 pm, with the concert beginning at 6:30 pm.
OHS Band Alumni are welcome to perform "Christmas Festival" with the High School Band. Please bring your instrument with you to the concert and meet in the band room by 6:00 pm.
Mrs. Morse's World of Children students recently completed their Story Hour unit. Students worked cooperatively with a small group to choose a story to read to the class that would be appropriate for a group of toddler and preschool age children. Along with the book, they created a visual to go along with it (flannel board, magnets, etc.) and recited a song and fingerplay to complete their story hour. Fun (and treats) were had by all!
