On one of the final days of school, high school biology students did some community service projects around the Bruce Fowler Memorial Arboretum. Keefer handily removed a tree with root rot. Ariana, Mae , and Holly trimmed branches on the trails. Students were happy to get outside and beautify the school grounds!

Students in Mrs. Babcock's second grade students wrote biographies for their peers to celebrate the end of the year and new friendships made! It was so meaningful!!!

The Assistant Child Care Teacher (ACCT) class recently awarded the students with all their certifications they earned this school year.
ACCT is a dual credit course with Fox Valley Technical College and also earns students their WI Department of Public Instruction certificate to become an Assistant Child Care Teacher. Throughout the year, this class also earned their Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) certificate, Abusive Head Trauma (AHT) certificate, WI Breastfeeding Initiative certificate, and got certified in CPR/AED. All of these certifications will be beneficial to them as they continue to pursue a career in Early Childhood.
"CONGRATULATIONS Ladies!! I am very proud of all of you and wish you the best in your future endeavors!"-- Mrs. Morse

Attention students grades 6-12 interested in joining the OHS Equestrian Team for the 2023/2024 season. There will be an organizational meeting Friday, June 30th in room #1709 at the high school at 7:00 pm. Park in the high school parking lot.

Recently, David Gjertson from Gjertson Design (a Wisconsin native and a student's great uncle) zoomed in live from Atlanta to talk to Mrs. Geracie's 4th grade class about his work as a landscape architect/urban planner and his son, Eric's, work as a 3D character artist/animator.
He shared drawings from projects he has done over the years, showed tools that he uses, and talked about his education and how he got to where he is today. He then shared his son's journey from doodling as an elementary student up through the work he currently does designing characters for video games. The meeting wrapped up with a tutorial on how to sketch and all students had a chance to sketch a barn/silo scene while he sketched them as a class. It was a fantastic opportunity and fun was had by all!
Thank you, Mr. Gjertson, for taking time out of your busy schedule to connect with our students here in Omro!
