Sources of Strength planned an end-of-year event in which SOS Peer Leaders brainstormed healthy activities, teachers hosted those activities, and the entire student body participated 30 for a minute Fox Time. Students played flag football, made giant bubbles, colored with sidewalk chalk, read outside, and walked in nature. It was an opportunity to smile, celebrate the year, and enjoy being an Omro Fox.

Collaborative Wellness works extensively with the School District of Omro to support our students, families and staff.

This week’s Omro Staff Spotlight features Mrs. Wendy Fisher. She is the OMS/OHS Band teacher. Wendy is currently in her thirty-first year in education and twenty-fifth year here in Omro.
Outside of school, she enjoys bowling, playing cards, and watching ID or HGTV channels.
When asked about her favorite part of working for the School District of Omro, Wendy said, “I love watching my students grow as people and musicians, and getting to know them and their families over the 7 years that I have them in band.”
Thank you, Mrs. Fisher, for all you do for our students!

At the beginning of May, our Middle School Battle of the Books team went on a field trip to celebrate their hard work this season. Macy, Lydia, and Hailey represented Omro Middle School in the Final State Test for Battle of the Books where they competed against 165 other teams in Wisconsin.
On their field trip, they visited H.B. Patch Elementary where they read to Ms. Martin and Ms. Bahr’s classrooms. After visiting HB Patch they went to a movie, lunch and ended their day at Barnes and Noble where they picked out new books for our school library. Great job this Battle of the Books Season team!
For students interested in competing next school year in Battle of the Books, keep a lookout for the book list which will be released on June 1st. You can also visit WEMTA's website for more information: https://sites.google.com/wemta.org/battle/home?pli=1

Congrats to Nate and Lucas-- Dinosaur Cake!
