Omro Middle School 6th graders from Mrs. Schrimpf's ELA classes took a walking field trip to the Omro Public Library today. Accompanied by Ms. Reise and Mrs. Gee, they enjoyed a stroll through Omro on a beautiful fall day. While visiting the library, they met with Anna Dinkel, the Omro Public Library Director, where they learned about library programming, took a tour and listened to a few book talks. After selecting books to check out, students returned to school. Thank you Anna and the Omro Public Library Staff!
Unity Day
Schools across the District recognized Unity Day, a day to unite for kindness, acceptance, and inclusion and to prevent bullying by wearing orange, today. Did you know that
-- 94.3% of our students feel safe at school
-- 96.6% of students say they know how to report bullying or other unsafe behaviors
Beyond wearing orange, Kevin Szawala, who speaks professionally as “Mr. Peace” came to OMS for an assembly presentation titled “Bullying: Look At The Heart First.”
-- Thank you to St. Mary’s of Omro for supporting the effort of bringing Mr. Peace to Omro.

OMS/OHS Picture Re-Take Day
On October 17, Network Photography will be on site for OMS/OHS Picture Re-Take Day. As a remidner, all students must get their photos taken, even if families are not ordering pictures.
Per guidelines from Network Photography, students may not wear any hat/hood/head covering/costume or alter their face in any way, shape or form (religious and cultural head coverings/medical exceptions are made).
