6th graders in Mrs. Schrimpf’s ELA class are busy creating their life maps. This is so they can prepare to write a personal narrative based on one of these major life events.

Homecoming is Next Week (October 5 through October 11)
Throughout the week, buildings will be celebrating and acknowledging homecoming in a variety of days. While most activities are centered at the high school level, elementary and middle school students have opportunities to get involved, too! There are dress up days at all buildings (see the building newsletter for more information), opportunities to engage with OHS student athletes, attend the parade, etc. We are looking forward to seeing all of the #FoxPride throughout the week!

Congratulations to OMS and OHS Fox Friday winners from September 26, 2025! These students were nominated by staff members or other students for demonstrating the Fox Four (Safety, Responsibility, Respect, or Positivity).
Staff members were nominated by students or other staff members for being a role model, an advocate for students, or having a positive connection with students.

Thriving Together Thursday!
Last week, in sixth grade math, students worked together to solidify their understanding of decimal operations. This quick activity provided the opportunity for students to share their strategies, connecting with peers throughout the room.

After spending two awesome days at Lake Lacerne, the sixth graders applied their knowledge of the five themes of geography to Lake Lacerne through drawings, captions, and short sentences.

In Social Studies, 6th graders have been learning about culture, society, people, and the environment. They used their knowledge to "survive" being stranded on an island. They had to work together to earn enough points to get rescued. The work, ideas, and conversations were fun to watch! Great job!
