National Honor Society (NHS) hosted their 3rd annual Toy Drive, in collaboration with the boys basketball team.
This year the toys, games, books, and money were donated to senior OHS student Faith A's non profit organization, Room to Care.
Room to Care works to refurbish foster care visitation rooms around Winnebago County. Faith is working to expand to Outagamie County as well.
Thank you to all community members, students, staff, and basketball players who donated to this wonderful cause!!

Mrs. Morse's Advanced Culinary Arts class had the opportunity to go to Fox Valley Technical College on Friday, February 16, to be a part of their Culinary Arts and Hospitality Event.
The students got to meet Chef Jeff and the rest of the FVTC Culinary Instructors, see food demonstrations, and tour the campus. They also had the chance to hear from past FVTC Alumni who have shared about their careers after graduating from the Culinary Arts Program. They heard from an entrepreneur who opened up her own B's Bakery, two gentlemen who own and operate Breadsmith, and Ace Champion, a celebrity chef, who has his own TV program called "Cook Like a Champion."

Congratulations, Lexi!
Lexi has taken another first at the district level of the American Legion Oratorical contest. She presented her ten-minute speech on the First Amendment and the National Hockey League and then had to prepare four, three to five minute speeches on The Amendments to The Constitution. She will advance to the Regional level March 23 at Ripon College. If she performs well, she will advance to state that same afternoon.
Not only has Lexi gained valuable speaking experience, she has earned $800 so far.
Best wishes to Lexi as she continues her speech contest journey!

This is what happens when you actually read the recipe and measure accurately... you get perfect pancakes!! Breanna and Jose are students in Mrs. Morse's Food, Family and Society class. This lab was all about understanding abbreviations and conversions. Well done!!
