Kindergarten art students drew pictures of imaginary creatures and monsters that 8th grade Art students transformed into soft sculptures. 8th grade students learned how to make a pattern and basic handstitching techniques. Many 8th grade students will be sending their soft sculptures back to Patch for the Kindergarten artists to keep!

First grade celebrated positive behaviors by having some sledding fun!

PTO: Omro's Parent Teacher Organization strives to support District staff and students in PK - grade 8.
Did you know that the PTO gives a total of $20,000 to Early Childhood through grade 5 each year? Lets not forget about the middle school who receives $5,000 each year. A few items these funds have supported include the purchase of 3D printers, PBIS acknowledgements, reducing costs of field trips for all students, new play Kitchen items for 4K, and monthly popcorn.
In addition, our PTO actively volunteers; it takes 8 volunteers, monthly, to pop popcorn at OES, Patch, and OMS. It takes 60 volunteers for the Holiday Shop, which OES and Patch experience. There are more volunteer opportunities with various fundraisers and staff appreciation week.

Health and physical education aren’t just boxes to check—they’re a journey that starts in kindergarten and grows with students all the way through graduation.
Whether it’s nutrition, mental wellness, decision-making, strength training, agility, or hands-on CPR training – we’re confident that every base is covered!
In the early years, it’s all about having fun—running, jumping, playing games, and learning how to move with confidence. 🛝🏃🏻♀️
As students move into middle school and high school, their experience expands beyond just movement. They learn the importance of teamwork 🫱🏻🫲🏻, how to set personal fitness goals 🥇, and what it really means to lead a healthy life 🥕.
By junior and senior year, students can choose from specialized courses, exploring everything from weightlifting and competitive team sports to activities like archery, frisbee golf, and table tennis. We want to help them find physical activities they actually enjoy—ones they can carry with them beyond high school. 🏋🏻
Prioritizing health isn’t just for class—it’s for life!

Congratulations to our Fox Paw winners from H.B. Patch and OES for the week ending on February 28, 2025. Thanks for exemplifying the Fox Four of being safe, responsible, respectful, and positive!

In our school district, art isn’t just another class to fill a student’s course load—it’s a journey that starts in kindergarten and grows with them all the way through graduation. 🎨 What starts as finger painting and little doodles quickly turns into mastering ceramics, sculpture, painting, photography, and even glass creations in high school.
We know that every student deserves a way to express themselves, and that’s why our art programs are designed intentionally and purposefully to give kids the space to explore, experiment, and find what they love. ❤️
Whether they go on to pursue an artistic path or just carry these creative outlets into their everyday lives, we want every student to see the value in the arts, reminding them that creating is just as important as learning. ✨

The 100th day of the school year was celebrated in multiple buildings across the District last week! H.B. Patch had a dress up day, stacked 100 cups and colored 100 day crowns. OES had a special 100th day photo booth in the media center!
Taking the time to celebrate different milestones throughout the school year is just one way that our staff builds a positive learning environment.
