#FoxPride is on full display during Homecoming Week!

This year's theme is "Cities", with each high school class representing a city.
Seniors ~ Los Angeles
Juniors ~ Nashville
Sophomores ~ Honolulu
Freshmen ~ Boston

Throughout the week, high school students will have different activities, enabling them to represent the theme. Hallway decorating was a great opportunity for each class to demonstrate their creativity and collaboration!

Every school is celebrating Homecoming this week; families should check the building newsletters for information about dress up days and any additional celebrations the school is participating in.

The Homecoming Parade will begin at 2:15 on the afternoon of Friday, October 10, 2025, following the map shared in this post. We would love to see you along the parade route!

Homecoming is Next Week (October 5 through October 11)

Throughout the week, buildings will be celebrating and acknowledging homecoming in a variety of days. While most activities are centered at the high school level, elementary and middle school students have opportunities to get involved, too! There are dress up days at all buildings (see the building newsletter for more information), opportunities to engage with OHS student athletes, attend the parade, etc. We are looking forward to seeing all of the #FoxPride throughout the week!

For Show & Tell last week, 4K friends had a chance to bring in their favorite book to share with the class. This gives the students an opportunity to practice communication and social skills while building their confidence. It also supports literacy while connecting home and school. Students put into practice their respectful listening and turn-taking skills, while sharing something that is important to them.

The Omro 4K program strives to develop a positive attitude and approach toward school through a play based structure. Earlier this week, learners had the opportunity to develop their math skills prior to snack by making predictions, sorting, and comparing their predictions to the actual results. They all enjoyed learning math through a tasty experience!

Our kindergarteners had a sensational day learning about their 5 senses. They visited 5 different classrooms and explored one sense in each room.

Sight - they used binoculars, view masters, magnifying glasses and kaleidoscopes
Hearing - they played a fun identify the sound bingo game
Smell - Students colored with scented markers and smelled many different unique scents
Taste - Tasting jelly bellies was a favorite activity of many! blueberry, green apple, cherry and peach
Touch - Students explored many different sensory bins filled with things like sand, kinetic sand, sensory foam and pluffel

It was a wonderful way to help them connect with the world around them - one sense at a time!

4K Students are doing great things and demonstrating safe, responsible, respectful, positive behavior!

Students in Miss Kelly's 4k class have filled up our 2nd Fox Paw Chart, which means that collectively, they have earned 100 Fox Paws. To celebrate, they decided to have a Shaving Cream Party! Mr W & Mrs. Bernier even stopped in to join the fun during our morning class!
