UWO Titan Youth Spirit Day/HS Band Day
Two OHS band students, Katherine and Erick, arrived at Titan Stadium at 9am on Saturday for an on the field sectional rehearsal with like instruments of college students and their UWO Staff Member followed by learning spots for the field show and full rehearsal with the College Band. The students also participated in playing Stand Tunes during the first half of the game in the grand stands with the College Band!
They did great! Though the final performance did not take place, due to inclement weather, they learned so much in preparation, sight reading, and exploring the culture of the Post-Secondary band experience!
In addition, Elliot, from OMS, arrived to Titan Stadium early in the morning to practice twirling and prepare to perform with the bands. Though the performance didn't happen, the experience was a a great one!

Congratulations to our Fox Paw winners from H.B. Patch and OES for the week ending on September 19, 2025. Thanks for exemplifying the Fox Four of being safe, responsible, respectful, and positive!

In September, some of Mrs. Miller's students were able to experience a Shakespeare play in Spring Green, Wisconsin. The outdoor theater presented, "A Midsummer Night's Dream", one of Shakespeare's best comedies. Although it was VERY HOT, students did well, enjoyed the show, and even stopped for some well-deserved food and ice cream on their way back to Omro High.

Sight - they used binoculars, view masters, magnifying glasses and kaleidoscopes
Hearing - they played a fun identify the sound bingo game
Smell - Students colored with scented markers and smelled many different unique scents
Taste - Tasting jelly bellies was a favorite activity of many! blueberry, green apple, cherry and peach
Touch - Students explored many different sensory bins filled with things like sand, kinetic sand, sensory foam and pluffel
It was a wonderful way to help them connect with the world around them - one sense at a time!
Great things are happening in the learning spaces in the School District of Omro. One example of our students thriving together comes from Ms. Schulz's fifth grade classroom. Recently, students developed dialogue between two people in various situations. Each group used a bit of comedy within their student designed dialogue, which brought joy, laughter, and smiles to the classroom during the presentations.
Great job, fifth graders!

This year the theme is "Fun". Students will be exploring. What is fun? Does having fun make you smarter? What can we learn about the importance of the concept of having fun? What benefits can we obtain from having fun in our personal, profession and academic life?
Students read journal articles, lead discussions, practice writing, and research which leads to a formal research paper.
Today in class students demonstrated a "little fun" by blowing bubble gum bubbles.
Biggest bubble: Aria
Most bubbles inside each other-Mrs. Miller
Messiest bubble-Luz
Laughter and fun was heard from our classroom.

On September 18, Network Photography will be on site for H.B. Patch and OES Picture Day. As a remidner, all students must get their photos taken, even if families are not ordering pictures.
Per guidelines from Network Photography, students may not wear any hat/hood/head covering/costume or alter their face in any way, shape or form (religious and cultural head coverings/medical exceptions are made).

3 Year Old Developmental Screening
On Monday, October 13, 2025, the District will be hosting a 3 Year Old Developmental Screening at H.B. Patch.
Who is eligible?
~ Children born between March 10, 2022, and October 13, 2022
~ Currently live within the School District of Omro boundaries
Why have my child screened?
The screening gives families a chance to see how their child is doing in areas such as:
~ Early learning and school readiness skills
~ Speech sounds and communication
~ Fine and gross motor skills
If a child shows possible delays and qualifies after further evaluation, support such as the Early Childhood Program or Speech and Language services may be recommended.
What is the process?
~ Families of children on the district census will receive a letter and developmental questionnaire, called the ASQ-3, by September 15, 2025.
~~~ If you do not receive a letter and ASQ-3 questionnaire for your child, please contact Jaime Ellison at (920) 303-2317 or scan the QR code below to complete the ASQ-3. Please note: You do not need to complete the ASQ:SE-2.
~ Families should complete the paperwork and return it by September 29, 2025.
~ After reviewing the questionnaire responses, staff may invite you to schedule an appointment for your child on the screening date - Monday, October 13, 2025, at HB Patch Elementary from 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Appointments are required to attend the screening.
You can also complete the ASQ-3 questionnaire online at: https://www.asqonline.com/family/5b4d1d
Students in Miss Kelly's 4k class have filled up our 2nd Fox Paw Chart, which means that collectively, they have earned 100 Fox Paws. To celebrate, they decided to have a Shaving Cream Party! Mr W & Mrs. Bernier even stopped in to join the fun during our morning class!
This year’s Grade 6 students went on a two day field trip to Camp Lucerne last week. While at camp, students enjoyed a multitude of activities including Tent Building, Archery, Nature Walks, Canoeing, Drum Circles, Art, Hocker (combination of Hockey and Soccer), and a Low Ropes Course. This field trip is one that our students look forward to each year, as well as look back on fondly, with previous students expressing, “one of my favorite field trips ever!” and “I wish I could go back and be in sixth grade again, just so I can go to Camp Lucerne again.”
A special thanks to our staff and volunteers who have an integral role in planning and supporting this positive experience for our students.
More pictures are shared in the September 12 OMS newsletter, available in the “Feed” of the OMS website and app.
Great job, grade 6 mathematicians, on persevering through this challenge!
During the ELA block, students have been exploring the current CKLA Unit: Personal Narratives! One of the many skills that has been a focus is learning how to include dialogue, while using correct punctuation, in writing to make it more detailed.
This week, students worked in groups to write a conversation between two characters while following the 5 rules of dialogue! They were so creative! :)
