On Wednesday, February 11, 2026, students from Omro High School participated in the Oshkosh Noon Optimist Club's essay and speaking contests. High school seniors Dylan and Kaia took 2nd and 3rd place for their essays. They were awarded a cash prize along with a free lunch at Delta Restaurant. Their writing prompt was: “How My Acts of Service Help Me Understand What My Community Means to Me.”
Contestants in the speaking contest were: 3rd place-senior, Macayla, 2nd place-freshman, Adessa, and 1st place-senior, Jayden. Their speaking prompt was: "The moment I realized I belonged - my definition of community."
Jayden will move on to the next level of competition in Green Bay in April. Speaking winners received cash prizes and a free meal (their advisor, Mrs. Miller, also treated them all to ice cream after the event).
Congratulations on a job well done by everyone. All should be proud of their talented work and presentations of their pieces.

On Friday, February 13, Omro Middle School celebrated Friday the 13th by providing many students some treats for being "lucky." Every student received a ticket at the start of the day, and multiple times throughout the day, many ticket numbers were called down as lucky recipients. It was a great day to celebrate Friday the 13th!

Valentine’s Day with learning stations! Mrs. Babcock's second grade classroom was filled with smiles as students engaged in a variety of activities. One station was practicing using chopsticks and moving candy hearts with them. Another fun activity was solving classmate’s 200 grid puzzle in 1 and a half minutes!

Recently, the OMS and OHS staff was treated to a Have Fun at Work celebration. While our staff has fun daily, this was a unique opportunity to bring some extra joy to the work day. Staff were literally "treated" by traveling carts of drinks and snacks to enjoy.
Thanks to the "organizers" for bringing some extra fun into a recent Monday!
