Hey Omro parents! 👋 Do you have a little one at home? The School District of Omro is hosting a developmental screening to see how your child is hitting their milestones.

👶 Is my child eligible? If your child was born between March 3, 2023, and October 19, 2023, and you live within the School District of Omro boundaries, your child is eligible!

💡 Why do a screening? It gives you a great snapshot of how your child is doing with:
-- Early learning & school readiness 🧩
-- Talking & communication 🗣️
-- Big and small motor skills (like running or grabbing toys) 🏃‍♂️
-- Plus, if they need a little extra boost, it can connect you with awesome resources like our Early Childhood or Speech programs!

📝 How does it work?
-- Check the mail: If you're on the district census, look out for a letter and an ASQ-3 questionnaire arriving by September 18, 2026. (You can skip the ASQ:SE-2 form!)
-- Didn't get a letter? No worries! Just reach out to Jaime Ellison at (920) 303-2317 or head online to fill it out.
-- Turn it in by September 28, 2026: Get those forms back to us so our team can review them.
-- Save the date: If a follow-up is needed, we'll invite you to schedule an appointment for the in-person screening on Monday, October 19, 2026, at Omro Elementary School (8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.).

Grade 6 mathematicians were hard at work on Thursday, co-crafting questions about a data set. After writing questions that could be answered numerically, students had to also determine if their questions could be answered from the data set provided. Students engaged in rough-draft thinking, revising their questions and then selecting two questions to respond to from the set the class had written. One question had to use all of the data set to derive the answer, and one had to use some of the data set to derive the answer. The activity had students working collaboratively and engaging in critical thinking while working with data. Great job!
