On Friday the Thirteenth, many Omro Middle School students experienced some extra luck.
During first hour, every student received a ticket with a six digit number. Throughout the course of the day, numbers were called over the loudspeaker (and emailed to all students) and those with matching numbers were invited to visit the middle school lunch room to select a prize.

Today is the day for Grade 6 Orientation. We hope to see students in the Middle School gym at 1:00. They will be engaged in activities until 4:00 pm.

REFERENDUM 2024: After wrapping up 2020 referendum projects, the District began working on the next 10-Year Facilities Maintenance Plan. In 2023, the District conducted a Facility Study including an Existing Conditions Assessment and Educational Space/Capacity Analysis to determine the safety, accessibility, and conditions of our buildings and sites as well as the functional use of our spaces.
Portions of our buildings, including the building systems, equipment, furniture, and finishes within them, are original to the 1955 - 1999 construction and have exceeded life expectancy, requiring costly repairs that exceed our annual operating budget. Even our newest building, OES, is 25 years old and beginning to have normal maintenance issues due to age.
Though our staff does a phenomenal job maintaining our buildings, the costs associated with major building system improvements are extremely high. Much like a home, when the cost to repair exceeds the budget, borrowing funds for larger-scale improvements is necessary, and doing more at one time can save money.
