Bike Shoppe officially starts on Wednesday, September 27th!
There is no cost for students to participate in Bike Shoppe. It is open to all middle school students (grades 6-8). Bike Shoppe has been a great resource to our families and community to repair and sell bikes at an affordable price. It typically meets after school on Wednesdays from 2-4 p.m. It is important that students should listen to the Daily Announcements to see if Bike Shoppe is meeting for the week or not.

Our school year is off to a great start! Here are some photos of our Middle School Students on the first day of school.

Omro 6th graders completed a Cemetery Unit. Students were involved in sessions that centered around the origin of Memorial Day, learning the timeline of American wars, learning about funerals and honoring the deceased, and looking at the lichen that grows out at a cemetery. Students spent the afternoon going to the Omro Cemetery and placing flags on all the veteran's graves.

Here are last weeks Fox Paw winners from H.B. Patch, OES, and OMS. Great job following the Fox Four Expectations of being safe, being responsible, being respectful, and being positive!

At the end of April, our Middle School Battle of the Books team went on a field trip to celebrate their hard work this season. Macy, Lydia, and Hailey represented Omro Middle School in the Final State Test for Battle of the Books where they placed 51st out of 147 teams in Wisconsin.
On their field trip, they visited HB Patch Elementary where they read to 2 classrooms. After visiting HB Patch they went to Barnes and Noble where they picked out new books for our school library, then finished the day with lunch and a movie. Great job team!

Great job this season for our Middle School track athletes!
They ended the season hosting the Conference Meet at Omro Middle School where two team records were broken! Great job to Evan in the 100m Hurdles with a time of 16:08. As well as our 4 x 200m relay which included Jason, Parker, Ralphie, and Vincent with a time of 1:44.31. One of the previous athletes that held the 4x200m relay is the uncle of Ralphie. Enjoy those bragging rights Ralphie!

Students and Staff had the chance to participate in a Collaborative Art Project in the Middle and High School library this past month. The image was kept secret and as the squares were slowly completed a Fox appeared!

Wednesday, May 3rd Omro Middle School and High School Students participated in National Bike to School Day. There were snacks and chances to win prizes for all who walked or biked to school that day. At the end of the day, students were encouraged to stop by the Omro Community Bike Shoppe where the fun continued. Students blended up some tasty lemonade slushies with our human-powered bike blender. We ended the day with a turtle bike race (the slowest person won) and more prizes. Thank you to all students and staff who participated, Eastern Wisconsin Safe Routes to School, and our local Kwik Trip for donating healthy treats.
