This week’s Omro Staff Spotlight features Miss Erica Birenbaum. She is a choir teacher at Omro Middle and High School. Erica is beginning her education career here in Omro!
Erica enjoys baking, hiking, camping, and singing (of course).
When asked what she enjoys about working for the School District of Omro, she said, “One of my favorite things about working in Omro is the sense of community and family throughout the school!”
Thank you, Miss Birenbaum, for all you do for our students!

7th grade students in Mrs. Hughes social studies classes recently finished studying Europe. For a hands-on project, each student chose a country in Europe, researched the languages and religion, the history and settlement patterns, family life and social structure, the arts, and their values and beliefs. Students then chose 5 "artifacts" to feature in a museum room for class. Each artifact included a description of what it was and why the student chose it to represent their country. Here are a few examples of the final projects.
In November, Omro Middle School found out that, based on their 2023 WI State Report Card, U.S. News and World Report had identified them as a “Best Middle School” for 2024. OMS received this distinction because it placed in the top 40% of middle schools in the state of Wisconsin.
Congratulations to all of our students and staff!
