Students in Mrs. Morse's Food, Family & Society and Culinary Arts classes volunteered to help assist the Omro Area Community Center in baking cookies for their Breakfast with Santa event held on November 25. The classes prepared the dough, cut out, and baked over 14 dozen cookies for this annual event.

On November 15, members of the Spanish Club went to a Yolotl Hearts workshop at the Latino Arts Community Center in Milwaukee. They learned about the history of the hearts, starting with the original painting by Pompeo Batoni in 1767, then brought to the new world by Catholic Missionaries. Nowadays, the hearts, commonly called Milagros, or Miracles, are often symbolic of something a person is thankful for or worried about. They are just as commonly used simply as a decoration. Students had the opportunity to paint their own hearts, and they did an outstanding job! Their creativity and artistic ability impressed Jessica, our teacher for the day.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Thank you to everyone for supporting this year’s Scholastic Book Fair. The book fair was a success at Omro Elementary, Middle, and High School. Money was raised during the book fair which allowed our school libraries to purchase new books for our students to enjoy!

The School District of Omro is proud to share their achievement of Exceeding Expectations, as determined by the Overall Accountability Rating on the Department of Public Instruction's Report Card for the 2022-2023 school year.
One celebration of our report card is that Omro showed more growth in English Language Arts and Math than 87.6% of districts in the state of Wisconsin.
The District appreciates the great effort given by students, staff, families, and board members to support Learning and Academics.
Great job, Foxes!
