Omro High School selects a senior student each month to be the Student of the Month. Seniors are selected for their academic successes, leadership abilities, citizenship, and extracurricular activities. The seniors who are selected for this honor are also invited to attend an American Legion meeting for recognition by the sponsoring organization and may go on the ballot to be a graduation speaker.
The May 2026 Student of the Month is Kaia.
Throughout high school, Kaia has been involved with Powerlifting and Cross Country. Additionally, she is an active member of Art Club, Plant Club, Jazz Band, National Honor Society, Key Club, Student Council, Sources of Strength, and Varsity Band. Kaia volunteers her time at A Night of Music, Student Council events, National Honor Society and Key Club events, tutoring math, OoMPA, trivia nights, and church events.
Outside of school, Kaia enjoys playing instruments such as clarinet, piano, bass guitar, and ukulele. She also loves art (sketching, painting with gouache, and ceramic creations). She enjoys lifting, biking, hiking, dancing, nail art, and hanging out with her friends.
After graduation, she plans on attending UW-Madison and majoring in Microbiology, with a desire to move towards cancer research.

for parent drop-off beginning Wednesday, May 13, through the last day of school on Friday,
May 22. The drop off time has been adjusted to provide families additional time to navigate all
the potential detours due to the construction.
OES students may be dropped off at the OES main entrance and will report to the gym, where
they will be supervised by staff members.
Middle school and high school students should be dropped off in the middle school parking
lot. Middle school students will report to the OMS gym, and high school students will report to
the OHS cafeteria. All students will be supervised by staff members.
After discussions with Lamers, the Omro City Administrator, and the Police Department, we
have developed a plan to minimize major bus transportation disruptions. To reduce the time
students are spending on buses, the School District of Omro buses will be escorted by law
enforcement southbound over the HWY 21 bridge. There may still be minor delays to bus
pick-up and drop-off times.
