The District is one of 23 districts in the State who have received approval to award the Seal of Biliteracy.
The Seal of Biliteracy is an award given to high school seniors who have demonstrated proficiency in two or more languages, aiming to encourage language learning and highlight the value of multilingual skills for future education and employment opportunities. Battle of the Books is a voluntary reading incentive program for students in third through twelfth grade. Students form teams and then, usually, divide up a predetermined list of books to read. From there, they come together for competitions during the school day to determine which groups have the strongest understanding of the books.
This week, the four remaining 4th grade and four remaining 5th grade Battle of the Books teams battled it out in the 2nd round of competition. The top four teams are moving on to next week's elimination round. Congratulations to "Dream Big" (Psyla, Li'Onna, and Addy) for being the top scoring team this round!

Music classes from elementary school to high school don’t just create musicians—they develop well-rounded individuals ready for the future! We see the arts as so much more than just classes—they’re a chance for kids to take a break from the standard academics, grow, and explore passions they didn’t even know they had. 🎼✨
🎤 How Music Transforms Students:
~ Boosts Academic Performance: Students in music programs often excel in math, reading, and problem-solving.
~ Builds Confidence: Performing on stage or in a group helps students conquer fear and embrace leadership.
~ Encourages Discipline: Practice and dedication in music translate into success in every aspect of life.
Our music department truly sets our kids up with endless opportunities. Whether it’s becoming a music teacher, performer, sound designer, audio technician, or even a film score composer, music education opens doors to creative and fulfilling careers!
