Bridging Brighter Smiles will be at OES and Patch to provide dental services on January 15, 2024.

UPDATE: This event is CANCELED due to the inclement weather day. OHS is hosting a Blood Drive on Friday, January 12, 2024 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Our doors are open to the community to be a part of the Blood Drive; please just make an appointment by visiting redcrossblood.org or calling 1-800-733-2767.

Earlier this week, our fifth grade students tried playing various band instruments as they prepare to choose their classes for 6th grade.

OoMPA (Omro Music Parents' Association) invites you to a Chili Supper on Thursday, January 25, 2024 from 4:30-6:30 pm. There is an in-person and drive-thru option available.

School is canceled for Tuesday, January 9th due to weather conditions. All after school activities are also canceled.

In Mrs. Babcock's second grade class, US History came alive through a simulation earlier this month. Her class is learning about the events that led up to the Revolutionary War, and she did a three hour mini lesson to explain taxation without representation. Each student was a colonist and given a day’s wage but as she imposed tax by will their money dwindled. The students displayed raw emotions and frustrations. They gave up using spoons so they wouldn’t have to pay a tax and their pencil sharpeners were seized when they wouldn’t pay a tax for having them. It was an experiment to remember even after some of them were “sentenced” to debtor’s prison in Australia.

In November, our OES students created posters to celebrate Veteran's Day. The winners of the 2023 Veteran's Day poster contest are Mason, Avi, Claire, and Adyssen. Congratulations!
