4k students had their annual "Paper Mache Day" earlier in November. They each received a balloon and covered it with a layer of newspaper and then a layer of brown paper, all held together with goop!
Then they had their foot traced to cut out, which enabled them to make the turkey head by adding eyes, a beak, and a wattle.
They each had to tell 5 things they were thankful for to add to each feather.
We would like to thank the moms and dads, grandmas and grandpas, and big brothers who came to help!
A special thanks to Mrs. Potratz, Officer Peeters, and Mrs. Bernier for stopping by to get messy with us!

No school today (Friday, November 24, 2023). Enjoy the extended weekend!
We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Monday, November 27.

No school today (Thursday, November 18, 2023).

Kindergarten has been learning about voting, candidates, ballots and polls. We read the book, My Teacher For President by Kay Winters and had a mock campaign where Mrs. Mathe, Mrs. Martin, Mrs. Henry and Mrs. Prickett ran for president. It was quite the race! Mrs. Martin campaigned for ice cream everyday, Mrs. Mathe campaigned to save the school money and have students do all the cleaning, Mrs. Henry campaigned to have recess all afternoon, and Mrs. Prickett campaigned to have homework every night . When the votes were counted the winner was Mrs. Martin! Enjoy some pictures of our lessons!
No school today (Wednesday, November 22, 2023). Have a great start to an extended weekend!
We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Monday!

The School District of Omro is proud to share their achievement of Exceeding Expectations, as determined by the Overall Accountability Rating on the Department of Public Instruction's Report Card for the 2022-2023 school year.
One celebration of our report card is that Omro showed more growth in English Language Arts and Math than 87.6% of districts in the state of Wisconsin.
The District appreciates the great effort given by students, staff, families, and board members to support Learning and Academics.
Great job, Foxes!

What began decades ago as a group of community leaders around a table with the goal of bringing some extra cheer to area students has become a tradition in Omro so heartfelt that those involved might say it starts their Christmas season.
A combined effort of Omro School District Staff and high school students along with generous community supporters allow dozens of Omro students 4K through 5th grade, to once again be embraced with the true spirit of the season. Every year, a few weeks prior to Christmas, the students start their day enjoying a donated breakfast with their high school companion. Then they load donated buses from Lamers and head out to shop at Target for necessity items and a fun gift. The group shops for an hour and then returns to school to wrap their gifts and then they will enjoy a donated lunch from Piggly Wiggly and treats made by high school students and staff.
This event is sponsored through fundraisers and personal donations from the Omro community and surrounding areas. The Shopping Day with Kids team wishes to thank everyone who has supported this event in the past and to all who continue to make this program successful. We are in need of monetary donations to continue this wonderful program. Donations are welcomed and accepted all year long. If you are interested in making a donation to this event, please make your donation out to Shopping Day with Kids and bring it to any school office or mail it to:

This week’s Omro Staff Spotlight features Ms. Alesha Neitzke. She is a reading intervention teacher, supporting students at both H.B. Patch and Omro Elementary. Alesha is in her thirteenth year here in Omro, and fourteenth year in education.
Alesha likes to spend time reading ,working out, camping, gardening, and spending time with her kids and friends.
When asked about a favorite motivational saying, she shared a quote by Lady Bird Johnson, “Children are likely to live up to what you believe of them.”
Thank you, Ms. Neitzke, for all you do for our students!
