To finifish up their shape unit in November, 4K students sorted their snack by shapes. Check out the tasty fun they had!

They were given step-by-step directions, and had to copy what she did.
They didn't know what the outcome would be until they were done!
After all the lines and circles were complete, each student realized they had drawn a cute little turkey.
Some of the benefits of directed drawing with young students include:
*strengthens fine motor control and hand-eye coordination
*helping to build confidence in their drawing abilities
*improves listening skills and the ability to follow directions
*boosts vocabulary and language skills through step-by-step instruction
*encourages attention to detail and spatial awareness
*reinforces shape and line recognition, supporting early handwriting
*fosters creativity and pride in personal artwork

Wishing everyone a great few days!

Families came together to enjoy chili & chicken noodle soup for dinner.
They were then able to work together to create a placemat that was laminated so they can put it on their table at their own Thanksgiving dinner.
The big finale of the night was the caramel apple bar! There were syrups and toppings as far as the eyes could see (and the smiles proved just how yummy it was)!
We are thankful for all of our Omro Foxes students and families!

STEAM Night
Join us for STEAM & Screams tomorrow (October 30, 2025) from 4:30-6:30 pm at Omro Middle School. In addition to exploring the STEAM stations, we invite you to purchase food from the onsite food truck. This evening is geared towards students in 4K through grade 8 and their families.
Mark your calendars now for this great event, celebrating Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math activities!

The theme of the event was "Bring Your Parents To School" night. Students had a chance to show their parents around their classroom, take them through the daily schedule and invite them to participate in some of their favorite activities.
When that part was done, all families headed into the cafeteria to complete their Family Picture Page. We supplied the paper, stickers, glue, and markers, and each family brought in photos to add to their collage. These were laminated and are now proudly displayed in each classroom!
