RESOURCES FOR STUDENTS AND PARENTS
The OHS Guidance department works hard to help students with scheduling, career planning, scholarships, college applications, as well as personal and social issues. Here are some links to valuable information for parents and students associated with the guidance department.
IMPORTANT DATES
Omro High School Graduation: Sunday, June 3, 2012 at 2 p.m. in the high school gymnasium.
Summer School: Students who have failed a semester of the core English, Math, and Social Studies classes are encouraged to take summer school. Summer school is tentatively scheduled to run from June 11-29, 7:45 - 11:45 a.m. M-F. Students who are eligible will be sent a registration form in early May.
11th graders: The last ACT of the 2011-12 school year will take place on Saturday, June 9th. The registration deadline for the test is Friday, May 4 . To register, go to www.actstudent.org or pick up a packet from the guidance office.
12th graders: Senior Scholarship Night will take place on Wednesday, May 23 at 6 p.m. in the high school commons. Students who have been selected to receive a scholarship will be invited to this event in early May.
12th graders: Graduation practice will take place on Friday, June 1 following the awards ceremony. Seniors should report to the PAC at 7:45 a.m. on Friday, June 1 and will be free to leave after graduation practice.
12th Graders: Starting January 1, 2011, students are encouraged to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.gov. Completing this application is required to qualify for grants, student loans, and work study.
